VAL-PT (Voice Announcements over LAN Packet/Port)
SCOTCH Synchronous Loop-Around Test (#1275)
This test is destructive.
This test verifies the circuit in the data path of a VAL announcement port call. This
test fails if the data transmitted on the port does not match the data received in the
loop-around mode. Failure of this test indicates a port hardware fault on the
circuit pack.
This test aborts if calls are using the port, or if the VAL link associated with the
port is connected. To avoid this, at the SAT type busyout port UUCSSpp, which
tears down every call and link using the port.
