Chapter 8 Application
Typically, you often find captive portal pages in public hotspots such as bookstores, coffee shops,
and hotel rooms, to name a few; as soon as you attempt to open a web page, the hotspot's AP
reroutes your browser to a captive portal page that prompts you to log in.
Figure 225 Captive Portal Example
The captive portal page only appears once per authentication session. Unless a user idles out or
closes the connection, he or she generally will not see it again during the same session.
This screen allows you to configure which HTTP-based network services default to the captive portal
page when client makes an initial network connection.
