Transparent firewall mode
The Transparent Firewall mode allows the device to switch self-originated control packets. By
default, Brocade devices will drop control packets received with the device's MAC address as the
packet's source MAC address (i.e. self originated packet from the switch or router). Under the
Transparent Firewall mode, switching of self-originated packets is allowed. The Transparent Firewall
mode feature is a per VLAN configuration and is disabled by default.
