Testing effects and steps
Once you create an effect, you can test it before you add it to a
cue or submaster. During the test, the effect plays back on stage
and you can modify it in the effect display.
Keystrokes:
1. From the Effect display,
press [S7], Edit Features.
2. Press [S7], Test Effect,
and press [Enter].
3. To change effect rate,
press [Rate] [F8] and adjust
the rate wheel.
4. Press [F8].
5. Press [F8] again to end
effect immediately.
Note: Only one effect can be tested at a time If ou test a second
effect, it replaces the first test. During the te t, the display for
fader 8 displays the effect number a d flashes Test in yellow.
During the step test, the effect play back on stage one step at a
time. Press [Next] to move from step to step. During the test, you
can modify it in the effect display.
Keystrokes:
1. From the Effect d sp ay,
press [S7] Edit Features.
2. Press [S6] Test Steps,
[Enter].
3. Press [Next].

Selects Edit mode.
Display switches to Live mode.
Currently selected effect fades in
on fader 8
Rate changes
Test fades out in down ade time
Test ends
Action/Command line:
Selects Edit mode
Display switches to Live
Puts step 1 on stage. Repeat to
advance through each step
Effect is cleared from fader 8
