14.5 Adjusting the cutting pressure

(1) - Thread-pulling knife
(2) - Marking
The shape of the thread-pulling knife (1) automatically creates the required
cutting pressure as soon as the thread-pulling knife (1) and counter
blade (3) make contact.
Proper setting
Any 2 threads with the greatest strength used for sewing can be neatly cut
simultaneously.
Disturbance
Disturbances caused by an incorrect setting:
To adjust the cutting pressure:
1. Swing out the thread-pulling knife (1) until the marking (2) is next to
2. Loosen the screw (4).
3. Place the counter blade (3) in position against the thread-pulling
4. Tighten the screw (4).
5. Check if the setting is now as specified above - if NOT, adjust
