Scanner Central Admin
Set this item to manage scanners with Scanner Central Admin Server or Scanner Central
Admin Desktop.
Server Type
Do not use
Select this when Scanner Central Admin Server and Scanner Central Admin
Desktop are not used to manage scanners.
This is the factory default setting.
Scanner Central Admin Desktop
Select this when Scanner Central Admin Desktop is used to manage scanners.
Scanner Central Admin Server
Select this when Scanner Central Admin Server is used to manage scanners.
When [Scanner Central Admin Desktop] or [Scanner Central Admin Server] is selected,
specify the following items:
● Host Name/IP address
The host name, FQDN, or IP address can be set for this item.
The space before or after the character string is ignored.
ATTENTION
Note that an IPv6 address is not supported.
HINT
When entering a host name, the DNS servers need to be set on the scanner.
● Port Number
The factory default setting is "20444".
[Check connection] button
Check if the scanner can be connected to Scanner Central Admin Server or Scanner Central
Admin Desktop.
Network Encryption
Specify whether to encrypt network communications.
HINT
The setting for the scanner must be the same as the setting in PaperStream NX Manager,
Scanner Central Admin Server, and Scanner Central Admin Desktop.
