Is the setting for the original type
appropriate?
Is the document loaded correctly?
Is the document guide set
properly?
Is the media damp?
Is the loaded media folded or
wrinkled?
Is part of the image outside of the
printable area?
Is the paper path dirty?
Internal components are soiled.
Remedy
Make adjustments under Copy Density and/or Lighten / Darken.

Select a suitable original type.
