POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE
*ALL DOOR LOCKS INOPERATIVE —
TEST
3 Turn ignition off.
Remove Fuse #3 in the Fuse Block.
Disconnect the RKE Module connector.
Measure the resistance of the fused B(+) circuit (cavity #3) in the RKE connector to
ground.
Is the resistance below 100.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair fused B(+) wire for a short to ground and replace blown
→ Go To 4
No
4 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
5 Replace fuse #3
Lock and Unlock the door locks several times.
Did the system operate properly without blowing the fuse?
Yes → Test complete. If Fuse #3 blows again, check with the customer as
→ Go To 6
No
6 Turn ignition off.
Disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry module connector.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit in the RKE module
connector to body ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Driver Door Unlock Driver wire for a short to ground.
→ Go To 7
No
7 Turn ignition off.
Disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry module connector.
Measure the resistance of the Door Unlock Driver circuit in the RKE module
connector to body ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Door Unlock Driver wire for a short to ground.
→ Go To 8
No
8 Disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry module connector.
Measure the resistance of the Door Lock Driver circuit in the RKE module connector
to body ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Door Lock Driver wire for a short to ground.
→ Go To 9
No
ACTION

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Replace the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
