VEHICLE THEFT/SECURITY
HOOD AJAR SWITCH MISSING —
TEST
4 Disconnect the Hood Ajar Switch connector.
Disconnect the RKE Module connector.
Measure the resistance of the Hood Ajar Switch Sense circuit between the Switch
connector and the RKE module connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 5
→ Repair the open Hood Ajar Switch Sense Wire.
No
5 Disconnect the Hood Ajar Switch connector.
Connect a jumper wire between the Hood Ajar Switch Sense circuit and ground.
Does the DRBIII show Hood Ajar SW: Closed ?
Yes → Replace the Hood Ajar Switch
NO
6 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
ACTION
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Go To 6
Replace the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
