GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN

PCI BUS CIRCUIT OPEN
CAB - NO RESPONSE
TEST
1 Turn the ignition on.
As soon as one or more module communicates with the DRBIII , answer the
question.
With the DRBIII , select PASSIVE RESTRAINTS, then select AIRBAG.
With the DRBIII , select MECHANICAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
Were you able to establish communication with any of the modules?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Refer to symptom PCI BUS COMMUNICATION FAILURE in the

2 Turn the ignition off.
Remove and inspect fuse #11 from the Fuse Block.
Is the Fuse blown?
Yes → Refer to the wiring diagrams located in the service information to
→ Go To 3
No
3 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the CAB harness connector.
Note: Check connector - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the resistance between ground and both of the ground circuits.
Is the resistance below 1.0 ohm for both measurements?
Yes → Go To 4
→ Repair the Ground circuit(s) for an open.
No
