*INTRUSION SENSOR FAILS TO TRIP VTSS —
TEST

Disconnect the Intrusion Sensor connector.
Disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
Measure the resistance of the Intrusion Sensor Signal circuit between the Sensor
connector and the RKE Module connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 5
No

Turn the ignition and all lights off.
Disconnect the Intrusion Sensor connector.
Disconnect the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
Measure the resistance of the Intrusion Sensor Signal circuit to ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Intrusion Sensor Signal circuit for a short to ground.
No

Disconnect the Intrusion Sensor connector.
Backprobe a voltmeter lead to the Intrusion Sensor Signal circuit in the Sensor
connector and the other lead to ground.
Reconnect the Intrusion Sensor Signal connector.
Wave your hand around the Intrusion Sensor and observe the voltmeter.
Is the voltage betweeen 3.0 and 6.0 volts?
Yes → Go To 7
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
ACTION
→ Repair the open Intrusion Sensor Signal circuit.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
→ Go To 6
→ Replace the Intrusion Sensor.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Replace the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
