BRAKES (CAB)
Symptom:
SYSTEM UNDERVOLTAGE
When Monitored and Set Condition:
SYSTEM UNDERVOLTAGE
When Monitored: Ignition on. The CAB monitors the Fused Ignition Switch Output
circuit voltage every 7 milliseconds for proper system voltage.
Set Condition: If the voltage is below 8 volts, the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set.
INTERMITTENT DTC
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT HIGH RESISTANCE
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT UNDERVOLTAGE
TEST
1
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , erase DTC's.
Turn the ignition off.
Turn the ignition on.
Start the engine.
With the DRBIII , read DTC's.
Is the System Undervoltage DTC present?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Go To 4
No

Turn ignition on.
With the DRBIII , select Sensors.
With the DRBIII , read the Ignition Voltage status and record.
Measure the voltage at the battery and record.
Compare voltage measurements.
Does the DRBIII display ignition voltage within one volt of the battery voltage?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Repair the Fused Ignition Switch Output Circuit for high resis-
No

Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST.
