Symptom:
*VTSS FAILS TO ARM FROM LIFTGATE CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH
DOOR LOCKS INOPERABLE FROM DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH
DOOR LOCKS INOPERABLE FROM PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
OPEN LIFTGATE SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT
OPEN LIFTGATE CYLINDER LOCK SWITCH
TEST

Note: For Right Hand Drive Vehicles the Driver Door Mux circuit must be
operational for the result of this test to be valid.
Open the driver door and operate the door locks from the Driver Door Lock Switch.
Did the door locks operate properly?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Refer to symptom ALL LOCKS INOPERATIVE FROM DRIVER
No

Note: For Left Hand Drive Vehicles the Passenger Door Mux circuit must be
operational for the result of this test to be valid.
Open the passenger door and operate the door locks from the Passenger Door Lock
Switch.
Did the door locks operate properly?
Yes → Go To 3
→ Refer to symptom *ALL LOCK INOPERATIVE FROM PASSEN-
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Liftgate Cylinder Lock Switch connector.
Measure the resistance of the ground circuit to body ground.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 4
→ Repair the open ground circuit.
No

Disconnect the Liftgate Cylinder Lock Switch connector.
Measure the voltage between Liftgate Switch Mux circuit and ground.
Is the voltage above 4.5 volts?
Yes → Go To 5
→ Repair the open Liftgate Switch Mux circuit.
No

ACTION
DOOR LOCK SWITCH in the POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE
category.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
GER DOOR LOCK SWITCH in the POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE
category.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
