POWER DOOR LOCKS/RKE
Symptom:
*RKE TRANSMITTER INOPERATIVE
TEST RKE TRANSMITTER
RKE TRANSMITTER DEFECTIVE
RKE MODULE DEFECTIVE - RECEIVER INOPERABLE
TEST

Note: Ensure the RKE module is configured for RKE and is in CUSTOMER
mode.
Note: Ensure the voltage of each battery is greater than 3.0 volts before
proceeding.
Using the DRB select BODY, Theft Alarm, VTSS, MISCELLANOUS then RKE FOB
& Module Test. Follow the instructions on the DRB screen.
Try the Door Locks using the Transmitter.
Did the Door Locks respond properly to the Transmitter commands ?
Yes → Using the DRB, program the transmitter and recheck the system.
→ Go To 2
No

Secure a known good Transmitter from another PL or PT vehicle.
Using the DRB select BODY, Theft Alarm, VTSS, MISCELLANOUS then RKE FOB
& Module Test. Follow the instructions on the DRB screen.
Try the Door Locks using the Transmitter.
Did the Door Locks respond properly to the Transmitter commands ?
Yes → Replace the original Transmitter. Program all Transmitters that
→ Go To 3
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
If okay, program all Transmitters that will be used with this
vehicle.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Replace the Remote Keyless Entry Module.
