INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
*SEATBELT INDICATOR PROBLEM —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Instrument Cluster.
Ensure the Seatbelt Switch is connected before proceeding.
Fasten the Driver Seatbelt
Measure the resistance of the Seatbelt Switch Sense circuit in the Instrument
Cluster C1 connector to ground.
Is the resistance below 100.0 ohms?
Yes → Replace the Seatbelt Switch.
→ Go To 5
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Ensure the Seatbelt is UNFASTENED.
With the DRBIII , read the DRV SEAT BELT SW: status.
Does the DRBIII display CLOSED?
Yes → Replace the Instrument Cluster.
→ Go To 7
No

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Instrument Cluster.
Disconnect the Seatbelt Switch connector.
Measure the resistance of the Seatbnelt Switch Sense circuit between the Instrument
Cluster C1 connector and the Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 8
→ Repair the open Seatbelt Switch Sense circuit.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the Instrument Cluster.
Ensure the Seatbelt is UNFASTENED.
Ensure the Seatbelt Switch is connected before proceeding.
Measure the resistance of the Seatbelt Switch Sense circuit in the Instrument
Cluster C1 connector.
Is the resistance below 10.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 9
→ Replace the Seatbelt Switch.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Replace the Instrument Cluster.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Replace the Instrument Cluster.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
