Installing the ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA Controller

Use the information for instructions on how to install the ServeRAID M1115
SAS/SATA Controller.
About this task
The ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA Controller for IBM System x adapter can be
installed only in the PCIe slots listed in "Supported adapters" on page 72. The
ServeRAID M1115 SAS/SATA controller provides RAID levels 0, 1, and 10. You can
upgrade to RAID level 5 with the purchase of the optional RAID flash/cache
adapters or software feature. For configuration information, see the ServeRAID
documentation at http://www.ibm.com/supportportal/.
Attention: Some cluster solutions require specific code levels or coordinated code
updates. If the device is part of a cluster solution, verify that the latest level of
code is supported for the cluster solution before you update the code.
