Installing an optional IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA Controller

You can purchase an optional IBM ServeRAID-MR10i SAS/SATA controller. It can
be installed only in the dedicated slot on the riser-card assembly. The
ServeRAID-MR10i adapter supports RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10. For
configuration information, see the ServeRAID documentation at

Important: To ensure that any of your ServeRAID adapters function properly on
UEFI-based servers, make sure that the adapter firmware and supporting device
drivers are updated to at least 11.x.x-XXX.

SAS/SATA adapter to any unpainted surface on the outside of the server; then,
grasp the adapter by the top edge or upper corners of the adapter and remove
it from the package.
7. Take the signal cable that is attached to the drive backplane and connect it to
the ServeRAID adapter. The following illustration shows the connectors on the
controller to which you connect the signal cable from the drive backplane.
