* If an error occurs during recovery, initialize the file system (HDD).
[C] Initialize the File System (Initialize HDD)
In case that an error occurs during the file system check and the partition cannot be recovered with the
recovery, each partition can be initialized.
File System(F/S) Recovery Mode -> Initialize HDD
Please Select Partition
1. ALL
2. Except /
3. User Data
4. /backup
5. /imagedata
6. /storage
7. /work + /registration
8. /TAT
Explanation for each item
1: Initializes all partitions.
2: Initializes partitions other than root one and creates initial files.
3: Initializes partitions (/backup, /image data, /storage) and creates initial files.
4: Initializes a partition (/backup) and creates an initial file.
5: Initializes a partition (/imagedata) and creates an initial file.
6: Initializes a partition (/storage) and creates an initial file
7: Initializes partitions (/work, /registration) and creates initial files.
8: Initializes a partition (/TAT) and creates an initial file.
Remark:
More than one partition can be selected. (">" is displayed on the left of the selected number.)
Notes:
If [1. ALL] is selected, applications and OS data in the equipment are also initialized. In this
case, the applications and the file system must be reinstalled.
If [2. Except /] or [3. User Data] is selected, minimal data necessary for normal startup are
automatically recovered.
If [2. Except /] is selected, databases such as logs and address book are also initialized. Back
up such data before initializing if necessary.
If [3. User Data] is selected, all documents stored by users (e.g. scan data) are deleted. Back
up such data before initializing if necessary.
