Precautions, Procedures and Settings for Replacing PC
Boards and HDD
9.2.1

Precautions when replacing PC boards

If more than one of the LGC board and the SYS board require replacement, replace them in the
following procedure.
1. First, replace one of the board to be replaced.
2. Turn the power ON and confirm that "READY" is displayed.
3. Turn the power OFF.
4. Replace another board that requires replacement.
5. Repeat steps 2 to 4.
6. Do not replace the SYS and the SRAM board together.
7. Do not replace the LGC board and the EEPROM together.
When the SLG board replacement, see
the SLG board".
When replacing the LGC board, be sure to remove IC27 from the board and install it on the new
one. Make sure that its pins are attached in the correct direction, not misaligned and not damaged
by static electricity.
When the HDD requires replacement, see
replacing the HDD".
When the SYS board requires replacement, see
replacing the SYS board".
When SRAM requires replacement, see
replacing SRAM board".
When NVRAM requires replacement, see
replacing NVRAM".
