INOP Messages

The following table explains the technical INOP messages that the Monitor can issue, and
suggests a course of action. Where actions are numbered, always try them in the order given
and only proceed to the next action if the current one is not successful in solving the problem.

Cause of Failure
You cannot use this
combination of Monitor,
Measurement Server and
cable.
Switch off the monitor
and contact your
biomedical department.
An M3000A
Measurement Server with
revision A software is
connected to an M3046A
Monitor with a software
revision of B or later.
This combination does
not allow monitoring.
Battery is almost empty. 1. Change battery.
The battery has less
than 20 minutes' charge
left.
Remedy
Use standard equipment
(link bar, cable, Server
or Extension). (The link
bar connects the Server
and, where present, the
Extension, to the Moni-
tor.)
Update Software
Update Software
2. Connect to AC power
supply.
Recharge the battery.
