The following elements are visible on page 1 of the UHDTV1/4K video session
display:
Input: Shows the selected input source. SDI 1A is used as the master source
and must be present in order to combine the other three link inputs into a
UHDTV1 or 4K image.
Signal: Indicates whether or not the instrument is locked to the selected input.
Effective: Displays in order, the detected format, sample structure, and
transport of the input signal.
Selected: Displays in order, the selected format, sample structure, and
transport of the instrument.
Links: In the input format table, Link A = SDI 1A input, Link B = SDI 1B
input, Link C = SDI 2A input, and Link D = SDI 2B input for HD and 3G
level A formats. When 3G Level B is used, a further identifier is added for
Link A = 1 and Link B = 2 and each signal is identified as A1, A2, B1, B2,
C1, C2, D1, and D2.
352M Payload: Indicates the presence of a SMPTE 352M payload.
Y Stuck Bits: Displays which of the luminance video bits are stuck. If the
readout is "—- —- LL", then none of the bits are stuck. LL is displayed for
the two unused bits.
C Stuck Bits: Displays which of the chrominance video bits are stuck. If the
readout is "—- —- LL", then none of the bits are stuck. LL is displayed for
the two unused bits.
AP CRC: Displays the active picture CRC (Cyclical Redundancy Check)
calculated for the video signal. The CRC is for a frame and is displayed in
hexadecimal. This can be used with a known test signal to verify integrity
through a system.
Ancillary Data: Indicates whether or not Ancillary Data is present in the
video signal. The displayed values are either Y Present, C Present or None
for each link signal.
CRC Changed Since Reset: Indicates whether the Active Picture CRC has
changed since the last reset was applied. This can be used to see if an error
or changes has occurred to the active picture during the session time. To
Reset the Session press the SEL button.
SAV Place Err: Indicates whether or not a Start-of-Active-Video Placement
Error has occurred.
Field Length Err: Indicates whether or not a Field Length Error has occurred.
Line Length Err: Indicates whether or not a Line Length Error has occurred.
Line Number Error: Indicates whether or not a Line Number Error has
occurred.
