Troubleshooting

Bicarb: Vent Too Long

The bibag system has been venting
longer than ten minutes when using
the blue bicarbonate connector for
liquid bicarbonate. The machine is in
bypass mode.
Bicarbonate greater than
Entered Bicarbonate level is higher
max. value
than allowed.
Bicarbonate has been set
The operator has attempted to set a
to min.
Bicarbonate level lower than allowed.
Blood flow unstable
When attempting to start an OLC test,
certain conditions are necessary,
including stable blood flow rate.
Blood Leak not Calib
The blood leak detector is not in
calibration.

Water
Press the RESET key to clear the message. If the alarm persists, turn

machine power off and back on. If alarm is not cleared, return the
blood to the patient if alarm occurs during treatment. Take the
machine out of service and alert a qualified service technician.

The Bicarbonate will be set to the highest allowed bicarbonate level.
Message
Press CONFIRM to clear message and accept the maximum allowed
value. Verify that the value is acceptable or enter new value.
Dialog
The Bicarbonate will be set to the lowest allowed bicarbonate level.
Message
Confirm if value is acceptable or enter new value.
Advisory
Wait a minute or so and start the OLC test again.
Alarm
Return the blood to the patient if alarm occurs during treatment. Take
the machine out of service and alert a qualified service technician.
