Use this command to configure the loopback detection action.
Example
This example shows how to configure the loopback detection action to none.
Switch# configure terminal
Switch(config)# loopback-detection action none

44-4 loopback-detection address-type
This command is used to configure the destination address type in LBD packets for loopback
detection. Use the no command to return this to the default setting.
loopback-detection address-type {multicast | broadcast}
no loopback-detection address-type

multicast

By default, the address type is multicast.

Use this command to configure the loopback detection address type.
Example
This example shows how to configure the loopback detection address-type to broadcast.
specific VLAN in the VLAN-based mode.
Specifies that when a loop was detected, the port will not be
disabled in the port-based mode. Traffic will not be block on the
specific VLAN in the VLAN-based mode. Only log and trap
messages will be sent.
Specifies that only multicast LBD packet will be sent. The
destination address is CF-00-00-00-00-00.
Specifies that only broadcast LBD packet will be sent. The
destination address is FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF.
