Configuring a Multicast Router Port (CLI)

Static connections to multicast routers are supported only on switch ports.

Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to add a multicast router port to a VLAN:

How to Configure IPv6 MLD Snooping
Purpose
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.
Verifies the static member port and the IPv6 address.
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Specifies the multicast router VLAN ID, and specify the
interface to the multicast router.
• The VLAN ID range is 1 to 1001 and 1006 to 4094.
• The interface can be a physical interface or a port
channel. The port-channel range is 1 to 48.
