Clean (photoconductor)

The erase LED emits light that neutralizes the remaining charge on the photoconductor surface. As a result, the toner
loosens or separates from the photoconductor. Then, a cleaning blade scrapes off the remaining toner. The cycle
(charge, expose, develop, first transfer, clean) repeats until the whole image is transferred to the transfer belt.
