Reinstalling the Power Supplies After Installing the MX240 Router with a Lift
Reinstall the rightmost power supply first and then work your way to the left. To reinstall
the AC or DC power supplies (see
the DC power supplies):
Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect

the strap to one of the ESD points on the chassis.
For an AC-powered router, switch the AC input switch on the power supply to the

off (
) position. For a DC-powered router, switch the circuit breaker on the power
O
supply to the off (
O
) position.
We recommend this even though the power supplies are not connected to power
sources.
Using both hands, slide the power supply straight into the chassis until the power

supply is fully seated in the chassis slot. The power supply faceplate should be flush
with any adjacent power supply faceplate or blank installed in the power supply slot.
Tighten the captive screws.

Reinstalling the Fan Tray After Installing the MX240 Router with a Lift
To reinstall the fan tray (see

Grasp the fan tray on each side and insert it straight into the chassis. Note the correct

orientation by the "this side up" label on the top surface of the fan tray.
