The MX240 router can have one Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) installed horizontally
in the front of the chassis. For optimum router performance, verify the condition of the
FPC.
On a regular basis:
Check the LEDs on the craft interface directly above the FPC. The green LED labeled
lights steadily when an FPC is functioning normally.

Check the
OK/FAIL
LED on the FPC. If the FPC detects a failure, the FPC sends an alarm
message to the Routing Engine.
