Removing and installing engine support

Special tools and workshop equipment required
♦ Supporting device - T30099-
♦ Surface - T30119-
♦ Surface - T30099/1-
♦ Hook for MP9-200 and T30099 - MP9-200/10 (10-222A/10)-
♦ Adapter - MP9-200/18 (10-222A/18)-
♦ Support - 10-222A/31-3-
♦ Clutch - T40091/3-
Removing
– Remove air filter housing
– Disconnect battery ⇒ Electrical System; Rep. gr. 27 .
– Remove battery tray ⇒ Electrical System; Rep. gr. 27 .
– Remove ribbed V-belt tensioning device
– Expose vacuum hose on the holder -3-.
– Unscrew screw -2-.
– Loosen clips -arrows- and remove toothed belt guard -1- up‐
wards.
Octavia III vehicles
– Disconnect the hose coupling on the fuel feed line -1-
⇒ page 216 .
– Disconnect the hose coupling -2- to the activated charcoal fil‐
ter ⇒ page 216 .
Note
Open closed lines and connections immediately with suitable
screen caps.
– Expose hoses on bracket -2- and place to one side.
– Unplug connector -1-.
– Unlock catches using a screwdriver -arrow- and lay coolant
expansion tank to the side.
– Open holding clamps on the air conditioning system pipes.
