– Push the release tool - T10238- (for right-hand drive vehicles
release tool - T10240- ) up to the stop into the provided open‐
ings and remove the accelerator pedal module.
– Disconnect connector from accelerator pedal module

Install
– Fit the plug -2- onto the accelerator pedal module -5-
⇒ page 224 .
Note
The plug must lock audibly.
– Push accelerator pedal module onto the fixing bolts -6-.
– Insert the centering pin -7- into the hole in the underbody.
– Screw on accelerator pedal module with screw -3- and fit on
cap -4-.
– Re-install steering column trim panel.
Note
On vehicles with automatic transmission, adapt the engine control
unit after replacing the gas pedal module.
Tightening torques

3.4.1 Remove and fit on connector for accel‐
erator pedal module (Yeti)
Note
The plugs for the accelerator pedal module which are inserted,
must be disconnected and fit on in a different manner.
Disconnect connector 1K0 973 706
– Slightly press the piston slide valve -A- (grey) in direction of
arrow -1- and push it up to the stop in direction of arrow -2-.
– Hold the piston slide valve in this position and disconnect the
socket housing -B- towards the top in direction of arrow -3-.
The piston slide valve -A- remains in the bottom position.
