1. Make sure that the
DIMM is installed
correctly (see
"Replacing a memory
module" on page 296)
for more information.
2. If the DIMM was
disabled because of a
memory error, follow
the suggested actions
for that error event and
restart the server.
3. Check the IBM support
site for an applicable
RETAIN tip or firmware
update that applies to
this memory error.
4. If no memory error is
recorded in the event
logs and no DIMM
connector LED is lit,
re-enable the DIMM
through the Setup
utility (see "Starting the
Setup utility" on page
402) or the Advanced
Settings Utility (ASU).
1. Make sure that the
RAID controller
firmware and hard disk
drive firmware is at the
latest level.
2. Make sure that the SAS
cable is connected
correctly.
3. Replace the SAS cable.
4. Replace the controller.
5. Replace the hard disk
drive that is indicated
by a lit status LED.
