Table 9 on page 82 contains information that must be given to the local
telephone company when ordering standard network interface jacks for the
Option 11C system.
Note: Table 9 includes columns for system port identification, Facility
Interface Code (FIC), Service Order Code (SOC), USOC jack
identification and associated Nortel equipment part numbers.
Equipment registered for Direct Inward Dial (DID) calls must provide proper
answer supervision. Failure to meet this requirement is a violation of part 68
of the FCC's rules.
Proper answer supervision is defined as follows:
DID equipment returns answer supervision to the Central Office when
DID calls are:
— answered by the called station
— answered by the attendant
