Follow Procedure 32 on page 204 to install an NTAK76 battery unit. Repeat
the procedure for each system cabinet being installed.
Note: The system external ground must be installed before installing the
battery backup unit.

NTAK76 Battery Unit installation
1 Unpack the NTAK76 battery unit and place it according to the
equipment layout plan.
• The battery unit must be installed within 3 ft (915 mm) of the
cabinet it is serving.
