DESCRIPTION OF CIRCUIT AND TROUBLE
DIAGNOSIS
Refer to "WINDSHIELD WIPER" in this section.
INSPECTION
WIPER AND WASHER SWITCHES
Refer to "COMBINATION SWITCH" in this section.
WASHER PUMP
In the same manner as with the windshield washer pump, check
pumping rate.
Refer to "WlNDSHIELD WIPERS AND WASHERS" in this section.
WIPER MOTOR
1) As shown left, use a 12V battery to connect its (+) and (–) termi-
nals to "B" terminal and "C" terminal respectively. Then motor
should rotate at a rate of 35 – 45 rpm.
2) Testing automatic stop action
a) First, connect battery (+) terminal to "B" terminal and battery
(–) terminal to "C" terminal and let the motor turn.
b) Then disconnect "B" terminal from battery and let the motor
stop.
c) Next connect terminal "B" and "D" with a jumper wire (1) and
connect "A" terminal to battery (+) terminal. Observe the wip-
er motor turns once again, then stops at a given position.
d) Repeat these steps several times, and inspect if the motor
stops at the given position every time.
