7A1-6 MANUAL TRANSMISSION (J18 ENGINE MODEL)
1. Engine mounting LH No.1 bracket
2. Transmission
12) Remove engine LH mounting with bracket.
13) Remove other attached parts from transmission, if any.
14) Pull transmission out so as to disconnect input shaft from
clutch disc and then lower it.
REMOUNTING
For remounting, reverse dismounting procedure.
Use specified torque as given below.
Tightening Torque
Transmission to engine bolts
and nuts
D Engine RH mounting bolt
D Engine LH mounting bolt
D Engine rear mounting bracket bolts
D Exhaust No.2 pipe to No.1 pipe bolts
D Center bearing support bolts
Ball stud bolt and nut
Stabilizer bar link nut
D Exhaust No.1 pipe to manifold nuts
D Clutch operating cylinder bolts
D Engine mounting LH No.1 bracket
No.1 bolt and nut
Gear shift guide case bolt
CAUTION:
D Care should be taken not to scratch oil seal lip with
drive shaft while raising transmission.
D Do not hit drive shaft joint with hammer when instal-
ling it into differential gear.
D Push in left side drive shaft joint fully so as to engage snap ring
of shaft with differential gear.
D Set each clamp for wiring securely.
D Fill transmission with oil as specified.
D Connect battery and check function of engine, clutch and trans-
mission.
