CODE 32 – POWER SOURCE VOLTAGE LOW (Page 2 of 2)
NOTE:
Before executing items in this table, be sure to perform "AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC CHECK FLOW TABLE".
STEP
1
Measure voltage on battery.
Is voltage 11 V or more?

1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect SDM.
2) Check proper connection to SDM at "A16" ter-
minal.
3) If OK then ignition switch ON, and then check
voltage from "A16" terminal on SDM harness
connector to body ground.
Is voltage 8 V or more?

1) With ignition switch OFF, disconnect ignition
connector ("F" connector) from J/B.
2) Check proper connection at terminal in "F" con-
nector.
3) If OK then ignition switch ON, and then check
voltage from terminal in "F" connector on J/B to
body ground.
Is voltage 8 V or more?
4
With ignition switch OFF, reconnect SDM.
With ignition switch ON, is DTC 32 current?

NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following procedure.
1) Reconnect all air bag system components, ensure all components are properly mounted.
2) Clear diagnostic trouble codes (Refer to "DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) CLEARANCE"), if any.
3) Repeat "AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK FLOW TABLE" to confirm that the trouble has been
corrected.
ACTION
YES
Go to Step 2.
Go to Step 4
Repair poor connec-
tion, high resistance in
"Bl/R" circuit of air bag
harness.
Substitute a known-
good SDM and re-
check.

NO
Check Charging System
and repair as necessary.
(Refer to "CHANGING
SYSTEM" in Section
6H.)
Go to Step 3.
Possibly faulty points are
as follows. Check each
of them and repair as
necessary.
