MALFUNCTION

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Manifold differential pressure sensor output voltage is out of
0.5 V – 4.1 V for 5 sec. continuously.
(2 driving cycle detection logic)
DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
WARNING:
D
When performing a road test, select a place where there is no traffic or possibility of a traffic acci-
dent and be very careful during testing to avoid occurrence of an accident.
D
Road test should be carried out with 2 persons, a driver and a tester, on a level road.
NOTE:
D
Check to make sure that the following conditions are satisfied when using this DTC CONFIRMATION
PROCEDURE.
– Intake air temp.: –105C (145F) or higher
– Altitude (barometric pressure): 2400m, 8000 ft or less (560 mmHg, 75 kPa or more)

When DTC P0100, P0110, P0115, P0120, P0135 and/or P1408 are indicated together, it is possible that
"Or" circuit is open.
D
When DTC P0120 and P1408 are indicated together, it is possible that "P/G" circuit is open.
1) Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch OFF.
2) Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC using scan tool and warm up engine completely.
3) Drive vehicle at 30 mph, 50 km/h or more for 10 min. or more.
4) Release accelerator pedal and with engine brake applied, keep vehicle coasting and stop vehicle.
5) Run engine at idle speed for 1 min.
6) Check DTC and pending DTC.
