*NO CRANK CONDITION —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Install a substitute Relay in place of the Starter Motor Relay.
Attempt to start the vehicle.
Does the engine crank over?
Yes → Replace the Starter Motor Relay.
→ Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
No

Turn ignition off.
Disconnect the Starter Relay.
Disconnect the Starter Relay Output Wire from the Starter Solenoid.
Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance of the Starter Relay Output Circuit from
the Relay to the Solenoid Connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 10
→ Repair open Starter Relay Output Ckt.
No

Turn ignition off.
Disconnect the Starter Relay.
Using a 12-volt test light, check the Fused B(+) Circuit at the Starter Relay.
Is the light illuminated and bright?
Yes → Go To 11
→ Repair the Fused B(+) Circuit for an open or high resistance.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Clutch Interlock/Upstop Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connectors.
Measure the resistance of the Clutch Interlock Switch Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 13
→ Repair the Clutch Interlock Switch Signal circuit for an open.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Clutch Interlock/Upstop Switch harness connector.
Using a 12-volt Test Light connected to 12-volts, check the Clutch Interlock/Upstop
Switch Ground circuit.
Did the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes → Go To 14
→ Repair the Clutch Interlock/Upstop Switch Ground circuit for an

Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
Replace the Start Motor.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
Perform TRANSMISSION DTC VERIFICATION TEST.
