DRIVEABILITY - GAS
Symptom:
P0108-MAP SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH
When Monitored and Set Condition:
P0108-MAP SENSOR VOLTS TOO HIGH
When Monitored: With the engine RPM above 600 but less than 3500, the TP sensor
voltage less than 1 volt.
Set Condition: The MAP sensor signal voltage is greater than 4.9 volts at start or with
the engine running for 2.0 seconds.
MAP SENSOR GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
MAP SENSOR WIRING HARNESS INTERMITTENT PROBLEM
MAP SENSOR WIRING HARNESS OBSERVABLE
MAP SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY VOLTAGE
MAP SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
MAP SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO 5-VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT
MAP SENSOR
PCM (MAP SENSOR VOLTAGE TOO HIGH)
TEST

Start the engine.
With the DRB, read the MAP Sensor voltage.
Is the MAP Sensor voltage above 4.6 volts?
Yes → Go To 2
→ Go To 8
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Connect a jumper wire between the Sensor Signal and Sensor Ground Circuits.
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB, read the MAP Sensor voltage.
Is the voltage below 1.0 volt?
Yes → Replace the MAP Sensor.
→ Go To 3
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
