P0106-BAROMETRIC PRESSURE OUT OF RANGE —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Measure the voltage of the MAP Sensor 5-Volt Supply circuit at the MAP Sensor
harness connector.
Is the voltage above 4.0 volts?
Yes → Go To 5
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRB, monitor the MAP Sensor Voltage.
Cycle the ignition switch from off to on.
Is the voltage between 2.2 and 4.9 volts?
Yes → Repair the high resistance to ground in the MAP sensor signal
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module harness connector.
Measure resistance between the MAP Sensor Signal Circuit and the MAP Sensor
Ground Circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair MAP Sensor Signal Circuit shorted to Sensor Ground
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Using the wiring diagram as a guide, inspect the MAP Sensor wiring and connectors.
Were any problems found?
Yes → Repair as necessary.
No
ACTION
→ Repair the 5-volt supply circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
→ Go To 7
Circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
→ Go To 8
Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
→ Go To 10
