P1595-SPEED CONTROL SOLENOID CIRCUITS —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Brake Lamp Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connector.
At the Brake Lamp Switch connector, measure the resistance between ground and
the Speed Control Power Supply circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Speed Control Power Supply circuit for a short to
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Speed Control Servo harness connector.
Disconnect the Brake Lamp Switch harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the S/C Brake Switch Output circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair S/C Brake Switch Output circuit for short to ground.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the S/C Servo harness connector.
Disconnect the Brake Lamp Switch harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Speed Control Power Supply circuit between the Brake
Lamp Switch connector and the Speed Control Servo connector.
Is the resistance above 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the open Speed Control Power Supply Circuit.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, replace the Powertrain Control Module.

Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 4.
→ Go To 12
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 4.
→ Go To 13
Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
