TEST
11 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Speed Control Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connectors.
Measure the resistance between ground and the Speed Control Switch Signal circuit
at the S/C Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair S/C Switch Signal circuit for a short to ground.
No
12 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII in Sensors, read and record the Speed Control Switch volts while
pressing and releasing the ON/OFF, COAST/SET, ACC/RES and CANCEL switches.
Switch: ON/OFF 1.02-1.45 COAST/SET 2.14-2.59 ACC/RES 3.06-3.76 Cancel 0.00-
0.76 No button pushed 4.18-4.94
Did the Speed Control Switch volts fall within the ranges in the above specifications?
Yes → Test Complete.
No
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 4.
→ Go To 12
→ Replace the Speed Control Switch.
