Symptom:
*NO CRANK CONDITION
STARTER RELAY (R)
REPAIR MECHANICAL CONDITION
BATTERY CIRCUIT RESISTANCE TOO HIGH
CLUTCH INTERLOCK SIGNAL OPEN
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
CLUTCH INTERLOCK/UPSTOP SWITCH
STARTER RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
PCM (CLUTCH INTERLOCK CIRCUIT)
STARTER RELAY
FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT OPEN
IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
PARK/NEUTRAL SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
STARTER RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
STARTER
STARTER MOTOR RELAY
TEST

Turn the engine over by hand to ensure the engine is not seized.
Is the engine able to turn over?
Yes → If 5SPD MANUAL TRANS, Go To 2
No

Using the DRB, monitor the Clutch Switch status in Input/Outputs.
Depress the Clutch Pedal completely to the floor and release all the way up several
times.
Did the Clutch Switch state change from Open when released to Closed when fully
depressed?
Yes → Go To 4
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
Else, Go To 3
→ Repair the mechanical condition preventing the starter motor
from cranking.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1.
→ Go To 12
