*CHECKING A/C SYSTEM OPERATION WITH NO DTC'S —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the A/C Clutch harness connector.
Remove the A/C Clutch Relay from the PDC.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the A/C Clutch Relay Output from the Relay cavity in PDC to the A/C Clutch
Coil harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 6
→ Repair the open A/C Clutch Relay Output Circuit.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Remove the A/C Clutch Relay from the PDC.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Measure the Fused B(+) at the Relay cavity in PDC.
Is the voltage above 11.0 volts?
Yes → Go To 7
→ Repair the open Fused B(+) Circuit.
No

Turn the engine off (ignition on).
With the DRBIII , actuate the A/C clutch relay.
Measure the A/C Clutch Relay Output at the A/C Clutch.
Does the voltage fluctuate between 0.0 and 11.0 volts?
Yes → Replace the A/C Clutch Coil.
→ Go To 8
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, replace the A/C Clutch Relay.

Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 2.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 2.
Replace the A/C Clutch Relay.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 2.
