DRIVEABILITY - GAS
P1193-INLET AIR TEMP SENSOR VOLTAGE HIGH —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the IAT Sensor harness connector.
Measure the resistance between ground and the IAT Sensor Ground circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 5
→ Repair the IAT Sensor Ground circuit for an open.
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the IAT Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the PCM harness connectors.
Measure the resistance of the IAT Sensor Signal circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 6
→ Repair the IAT Sensor Signal circuit for an open.
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Note: Visually inspect the related wiring harness. Look for any chafed,
pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
Note: Visually inspect the related wiring harness connectors. Look for
broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
Note: Refer to any Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) that may apply.
Perform a wiggle test on the related wiring harnesses with the engine running.
Watch for the Good Trip Counter to change to 0.
Were any problems found?
Yes → Repair wiring harness/connectors as necessary.
→ Test Complete.
No
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
