DRIVEABILITY - GAS
P0107-MAP SENSOR VOLTS TOO LOW —
TEST

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary.
Turn the ignition on.
Use the DRB to read MAP Sensor voltage.
Is the MAP Sensor voltage above 4.5 volts?
Yes → Replace the MAP Sensor.
→ Go To 5
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module harness connector.
Measure resistance between the MAP Sensor Signal Circuit and the MAP Sensor
Ground Circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair MAP Sensor Signal Circuit shorted to Sensor Ground
→ Go To 6
No

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness Connector.
Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module harness connector.
Measure the resistance of MAP Sensor Signal circuit to ground.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the MAP Sensor Signal Circuit for a short to ground.
→ Go To 7
No

If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair.
Repair

Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the MAP Sensor harness connector.
Disconnect the Powertrain Control Module harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the MAP Sensor 5-Volt Supply Circuit between the MAP
Sensor harness connector to the PCM harness connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 9
→ Repair the 5-volt supply circuit for an open.
No
ACTION
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Circuit.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Replace the Powertrain Control Module.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
Perform POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 5.
