The web terminal

Web terminal is a user–friendly administration tool for Avaya T3 IP telephones. It allows you
to make a lot of IP–specific settings, some of which can also be made directly at the IP tele-
phone via the various menus. Prerequisite for the use of web terminal is that the service PC
and the telephone can establish an IP connection.
2.10.1

Accessing web terminal

Using a recent standard browser (Java must be activated!) the requested T3 IP telephone
can be called from the service PC using its IP address. The IP telephone will then act as a
web server and in the browser will display various input windows – web terminal (security
aspects → p. 106).
Once the connection between the IP telephone and the PC is established, web terminal's
log–in screen appears in the browser.
1. To select the language, click on the appropriate button "English" or "German"
2. Enter the PIN (controller or lock PIN). The lock PIN only gives you access to the displays
and to the setting choices Boot line, Registration & Admission, and to IP audio settings!
3. Set up the connection to the IP telephone by clicking on the "Connect" button
The data is now transferred from the IP telephone to the PC. On the phone display appears
"Save your settings". The web terminal main menu appears in the browser. From this menu
you can use the buttons to open various sub–windows where you can edit the data.
Log off
You log off the web terminal by clicking on "Cancel" in the main window.
