2 Service operation

Scheduled software update
This automatically updates the telephone software. The tool requests the address of the
FTP server, the account and the time when updating should be carried out.
Note: If a time in the past is specified, this will result in an automatic software update.

Updating the bootstrap
Important notes:
•
The power supply to the telephone must not be interrupted. A loss of power or a reset
during this phase will make the telephone unusable.
•
Before updating the bootstrap to version 1.0 or later, it is mandatory to load SW C
package, later than T300. Only after successful software update the bootlader can be
replaced. If this sequence is not adhered, the telephone gets unusable.
•
Protocol
The administration tool collects the results of all commands in the file "IPPhoneAd-
min.log". The tool will always generate a new file when the old one has been deleted.

DHCP
Switch on / off the use of the DHCP server – available from software T224_0DE on-
wards.
•
Configure gatekeeper/gateway
The parameters are also requested during the activation – available from software
T224_0DE onwards. A telephone reset should be carried out after setting the parame-
ters.
•
License manager
Configuring (IP address) and enabling the License Manager – available from software
T301_0DE onwards.
