Service operation
Note:
After a successful software update activated by one of the numeric keys (method 1),
the bootlist menu item is reset to "off".
The bootlist menu item can be changed in the audit menu or via web terminal under bootline.
The IP telephone is supplied with the bootlist set to "on" by default.
Upon activation of downloading, "Download activated" appears in the display together
with the version name of the software, obtained from the DEFAULT line in the config-
uration file.
If the FTP server cannot be obtained, after a waiting time of no more than 75 seconds
the display will change to "Booting from flash:" as well as the version name of the
software.
The IP telephone in the corresponding hardware version will automatically update the
letters denoting the hardware version (Comfort: a, h, Classic: b, s, or Compact: c) in
the file name, if necessary. For example, the IP telephone in the Classic hardware
version receives the configuration file with the file name T080_0DE.h3i and before
downloading changes the file name to T080_0DE.s3i.
(d) The software file (application) saved in the flash memory is decompressed and loaded
into the main memory.
Note:
If the IP telephone does not detect any valid software in the flash memory, the tele-
phone commissioning procedure will stop and the message "No software loaded" will
be shown in the display
The subsequent procedure is as described in section 1 (c) onwards.
