4. Commissioning with emergency downloading of software with DEFAULT parameters
If the software (application) stored in the flash memory is damaged and the IP telephone
stops working, it is possible to carry out a software download with default parameters by
holding down the "Clear" button after resetting the telephone.
The procedure is as follows:
(a) Since a software update was forced, the IP telephone sets up a connection with the FTP
server and loads the configuration file. Here, all of the factory default settings are used (see
Notes in section 1a). If the format of the configuration file is correct, it will be saved in the
flash memory.
Note:
•
The FTP server must have the IP address 192.168.0.2 and the subnet mask
255.0.0.0.
(b) The IP telephone sets up the connection with the FTP server again and loads the soft-
ware file (application) into the flash memory.
Note:
•
After downloading the software, the IP telephone accepts the last values saved for
the settings.
•
No DHCP is performed with this emergency download, even if the corresponding set-
ting was set to "on". The DHCP will be performed again, if necessary, during the
course of the next commissioning.
The subsequent procedure is as described in section 1 (c) onwards.
