Replacing a defective telephone
It must be possible to differentiate between the following cases in the case of a defective
telephone set:
Hardware defect
- Display, keypad, etc. defective:
Save user data (→ p. 147)
Have the telephone repaired
Reconnect the IP telephone. Current software will be loaded automatically.
If necessary, re–import the old user data and telephone book data, if available (access
via Web terminal on the customer–data server, → p. 86).
- Entire hardware defective
Set DHCP server to the MAC address of the new IP telephone
Replace the telephone. Current software will be loaded automatically.
Next, clear all memories (menu item "Delete All Entries").
If necessary, re–import the old user data and telephone book data, if available (access
via WebTerminal on the customer–data server, → p. 86).
Software defective
Reconnect the IP telephone. Current software will be loaded automatically.
